Utah State University Scholastic Media
Conference and Awards

Friday, March 20 at Utah State University, Logan, Utah

For the fourth straight year, high school students, teachers and advisers from across northern Utah and southeastern Idaho will gather in Logan for our annual USU Scholastic Media Conference and Awards. The event brings USU’s award-winning journalism and communication faculty together with students interested in careers in broadcast journalism, social media, public relations, and print reporting. All Utah and Idaho high students are invited to attend.

Conference Agenda

The conference begins around 9 a.m., and consists of workshops in news reporting, social media, and public relations. Students also get hands-on experience by participating in a real-life crisis simulation. Award-winning student work in journalism, PR, advertising, and social media is then recognized. The event ends with delicious Aggie Ice Cream around 2:30 p.m. Campus tours with an Aggie Ambassador are also available.

The cost for attending the event is $10 per student.  High school faculty and advisers can attend for free. The deadline for registration is Monday, March 5 at 5 p.m.
